The Ladies Billiard Association featuring Allison Fisher
|
There was a rental fee for the Savannah Center, so to avoid
this large fee, the event was run through The Ladies Billiards Association. The LBA was listed as the host and a few of the members helped with setup and ran
the "Challenge The Pro" segment. After the event, all members who wore their
Club shirts got to pose with Allison for a group photo. This photo and one of
Allison will be hung up at Silver Lake. Because the event was to be held at the
Savannah Center in order to accommodate more people instead of a billiard room,
other costs were incurred. A Brunswick Gold Crown pool table was brought in from
Orlando and set up, the sound and lighting guys had to be paid and, of course,
advertising. |
Note:
Many thanks to Sherry and the LBA for all the work that went into this fine endeavor.

The Referee: Billy Schmidt
(Showing off his white gloves)
|
One clause in Allison's contract was she needed a Referee and someone to rack the balls during the "Challenge The Pro" segment. The WPBA's Tournament Director, Steve Tipton, always wears white gloves and a tie during their Tournaments, so we thought it would be a nice touch to have our Referee do the same. Billy Schmidt jumped at the chance to have this opportunity to work with Allison up close and personal. |
